Clyde Leland
Role: Director of Music
About Grampa Clyde
Grampa Clyde brings his passion for early childhood education to our preschool team. With more than a decade of playing and singing for preschools and daycare centers throughout the Bay Area, Grampa Clyde is dedicated to creating a nurturing and educational environment for our young learners.
Responsibilities:
- Director of Music
- Education and Experience:
After retiring from his job as a Legal Ethics Professor, Grampa Clyde began singing once a week for his granddaughter Stella’s preschool class. Soon, the teacher in the next classroom asked if he could sing for her class too, and Grampa Clyde realized this could be a great activity in retirement. It soon became a nearly full-time job, with daily visits to preschools, daycare centers, home daycares, Child Development Centers, Head Start programs, and indoor play areas.
Fun Fact:
In all my years teaching lawyers and law students, I never had anyone come up to me at the end of class and hug me and say they love me. Now that I sing with preschool kids, it happens every day.
